MCAT Prep Environment: MCAT Testing Board

Will the MCAT have scratch paper?

No. It won’t.

Instead, there will be this awkward wet erase board – also used for the GMAT. This board is something you likely have never encountered. In short, it is like a dry erase board – but needs water to erase the writing. Given they won’t give you water in your Test Day cubicle – there is no erasing and no passing of notes from one section to the next. You will be camera monitored. Thus, you should practice with this board from Amazon: the closest I could find to the one I used in my testing environment – and reusable.

The board is terrific and a good deal. We – however – dislike the pens it comes with, and recommend you also buy this brand.

I recommend drawing the amino acid legend – as shown here – among other mnemonics, and writing out math problems, or any articulation of thought that can help you ace that MCAT.
