I would love to personally clarify this path - given I myself wasted so much time in the fathoming stage. It isn't easy. But people, including myself, made it much more complicated than it actually is.

I am so happy to have you here! Given it seems both you and @kinetics are testing in September, please ask all the questions you have - either via email or publicly - to help you ace the MCAT. Conversations we have here may end up becoming articles that inspire generations to simplify the Pre-Med nightmare.

I personally think Test Prep companies thrive from overcomplicating the MCAT. It is complex, but so is life! It can be tackled in a few months, with the correct focus and activities.

Given your proximity to the MCAT, I recommend - if you haven't already - making concept maps of the whole exam. I used to panic everyday because I didn't know what I didn't know (if that even makes sense). Building a simplified concept map of every possible, testable topic let me select the "lost sheep" for the day to focus on.

Please leave any questions here or on said articles you might have. There are so many Test Prep companies out there. As stated prior, when I set out to start this website - the main advice in the Test Prep Industry is to overcomplicate an exam so people can get confused and come to you for business. 

Frankly, I find this evil. That is why we have this ridiculous physician shortage!

Here - my mission is to do the opposite of the above advice: the AAMC is the primary source for information because the MCAT is their exam. The goal here is simplification and content condensation. We want to make it possible for people to only study a month and ace the MCAT. 

We're not there yet, so it is awesome seeing you interested in this exam. Looking forward to all the conversations here.

Hi Prasanjit! Just sent you an email about your free book. I absolutely commend your initiative. You have your target in focus - a career in medicine - and you are shooting for it.

Don't worry about lacking any pre-requisite course in your belt. Most people who take the MCAT have likely forgotten everything learned in their courses, regardless. Half of the MCAT (CARS and Psychology/Sociology) cover content you likely can't find in any college course. The Psychology/Sociology section is so specific in its terminology that taking either college courses only for the MCAT is actually detrimental.

Regarding Chemistry/Physics, Organic Chemistry occupies only one subtopic of the big picture.

Long story short: you are well on your way to get the 528.

AIM is always better than ambition.
You are aiming for the 528, hopefully our articles (a few, but growing) can help you hone in on the content the AAMC covers. Check them out and let us know what you'd love to see covered.

Hi! My name is Allister and I received my Bachelor's of Science in Biology last August 2019. I took a year off to get more clinical experience by working in a retinal specialists' ophthalmology clinic as an ophthalmic technician. I am also about to start a Post-Bacc program and plan on taking the MCAT for the 2021 application cycle. There are so many resources out there for the MCAT but I'm just trying to use as much quality resources I can without breaking the bank.

There is a plethora of study material - which is why we are deciding to address high-yield topics that might not have cheat sheets. Hopefully - with time - we can create a low-stress, high-yield environment that truncates and simplifies the MCAT for everyone.
